African Security and Justice Programme (ASJP)
Description: The ASJP is an African focused and globally engaged theoretically oriented teaching and research programme attached to the South African National Research Foundation (NRF) Chair of Security and Justice. The Chair is held by Prof. Clifford Shearing and is located within the Department of Criminal Justice and the Centre of Criminology within the Faculty of Law at the University of Cape Town. The ASJP aims to enhance the quality of teaching on security and justice within African tertiary learning institutions and to undertake research within Africa and globally on security and justice.
